GATE SYLLABUS 2015
GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. Gate is one of the popular entranceexam for various Engineering and Post Graduate Programs like NIT’S, IIT’SExam. GATE is various exams in government, private universities, and institutions. If you want appear for exam you must have degree like just B. Tech ,B.E, Electrical etc.
Syllabus of GATE exam is different for branches and each branches have different books for syllabus.
Candidates note it that GATE 2015 Syllabus has been given for 22 papers that it will be held in along with the syllabus for General aptitude Paper that is compulsory for every candidate.
Engineering Exam Conducted in GATE are as follows:
- Electrical Engineering,
- Chemistry,
- Instrumentation Engineering,
- Mechanical Engineering,
- Mathematics,
- Computer Engineering(CE),
- Electronics and Communication,
- Aerospace Engineering,
- Biotechnology,
- Physics,
- Chemical Engineering,
- Civil Engineering.
GATE cut off Marks:
- Engineering students :1,85,578
- Cut off marks for General: 28.86
- Cut off marks for OBC: 25.97
- Cut off marks for SC/ST/PWD: 19.24
GATE 2015 paper Pattern is as follows: | |
Mathematics | Mathematics consider 13% of total marks |
General Aptitude | General Aptitude consider 15% of total marks |
Subject questions | Subject questions consider 72% of total marks |
GATE 2015 exam pattern is give as below:
The GATE 2015 examination will consists only one paper with the time-duration of 3-hour. The exam paper contains 65 questions. The total marks of exam are 100. Two types of questions are there which will be asked in GATE 2015 exam.The two types are as follows:
- MCQ(Multiple Choice Questions):
MCQ questions are Objective type of question.In these some questions carry 1 marks and some question carry 2 marks.In MCQ there are four options for a question.Candidate or Student have to selected only one choice among the four option.
- Numeric Question-Answer:
In last 2014 and 2013 year,each and every paper have numerical type of question and answers.Every question contain one or two marks.There is no choice for these.Student or Candidate have to write it down the value of given choice in given box with the help of keyboard.
Marking Scheme for GATE syllabus:
1 marks for write answer of single question.
0.75 is deducted for wrong answer.
Note:No negative marks for numerical question and answers.
